Update Highlights

This is a sample of key updates that are more-thoroughly documented on our "Blog" page found on the sidebar.

Families of Believers' World Church and the Zion Children's Haven orphan home, in the midst of overwhelming poverty and persecution, can only speak to the faithfulness of God after reaching another major milestone. The first milestone was the construction of a glorious house of worship in the midst of a huge spiritual revival, a major act of faith...

Two New Additions to Zion Children's Haven Are Among the 19 Children Eating Only One Small Meal Per Day

Pastor Emma shared pictures of baptisms that have taken place among the hundreds of converts God has brought into the Kingdom of Heaven recently, and we praise God for many more conversions since a recent evangelistic crusade February 1-3, 2023. It had been themed, "Jesus Saves and Heals." You can follow the Believers' World Church YouTube channel...

God has made a way through one donor for all government building requirements to be met and all loans to be paid! Praise the Lord and His Christ!

Zion Children's Haven

Zion Children's Haven is an orphan home run by Pastor Emmanuel ("Emma") Amos Kisa and his wife Eunice in Iganga, Uganda.  The 18 children in-house are assisted by two nurses: Carol and Daniel. Daniel was one of the children raised in the home who now works at a local clinic and continues to live at the orphanage and assist.

Zion Children's Haven supports a total of 41 children. Even though 17 live in-house, 11 are in boarding school, and 13 are in institutions doing courses.

WELL of HOPE History and Summary

Giving Jesus' living Water of Evangelistic Life Love to the community in Help, Opportunity, Peace, and Enterprise

In 2018, Rachel Adamus of New Jersey, USA was introduced to Save An African Child (SAC) in Iganga, Uganda, led by Ivan Wakabi. An organization of about 18 orphans or under-priviledged children, this group did not even have enough money for food. Rachel began fundraising for the group in the midst of much prayer and as opportunities were presented by the Lord.

In early 2020, the fundraising effort that had grown to include a Web site and the distribution of the project to over 10,000 viewers, suddenly began receiving distress calls from other orphans or impoverished groups in Iganga.  At this time, the Lord connected Rachel with Claudia Wohiren, the both of whom tirelessly sought to advocate for these starving people. Matters only worsened when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, and the few that were able to bring in meager support for themselves were unable to work. Around this time, Ivan Wakabi of SAC introduced us to Pastor Amos Kisa (Pastor Emma).  Following a call of God to Eastern Uganda, Pastor Emma began a church that reached 400 members over the course of several years but has recently exploded to over 1,000.  Pastor Emma and his wife Eunice also run an orphanage called Zion's Children's Haven.  His outreach is now extending to community relief through WELL of HOPE, as the Lord makes provision.

Jesus' WELL of HOPE is a church-based ministry out of Believers' World Church, Iganga, Uganda. It is headed by Pastor Emmanuel Amos Kisa and co-coordinated by fellow elders and deacons of Believers' World Church.

This ministry was established in October, 2020 for the purpose of centralizing a local support office for those God had brought to assist Save An African Child; however, God was changing our focus and closing down SAC to make ZCH and WoH the direction of the future. He did this by closing doors to the funding channels for SAC and other needy in the community with whom we had made contact. Four months passed over the summer of 2020 with no evident doors of opportunity opening to meet the needs of the people God had brought to us preceding June, 2020. It was a time of great sadness and testing, but suddenly, the Lord raised up a scout named Eric who visited many homes of those who have received support from SAC in the past, and He documented the situations. Most of these are in Iganga. With Eric's help and Spirit-led wisdom, a plan was established to create a centralized office through Believers' World Church for the support of these people, not only for immediate needs such as food and education but also for creating a community effort and plan to establish long-term livelihoods. The acronym HOPE speaks of this.

H: Help - the first moment of contact that Pastor Kisa or his helpers make involve a conversation face-to-face with those needing help and the provision of foundational help that will meet immediate needs.

O: Opportunity - from there, further discussion is set up to make a way for these to obtain more long-term opportunities and solutions for self-support.  Currently, a community farm in Iganga is being set up, with the hopes for expansion as the Lord provides means.

P: Peace - the forging of a centralized office through a true church of Jesus Christ is spearheading community projects led by leaders called of God. By the grace and power of God through the gospel of Jesus Christ, community enmities are being confronted, often through run-ins of persecution.  Instead of retaliating, Pastor Emma and others who are being persecuted are bringing forgiveness and gospel hope to these enemies, and God is working in hearts!

E: Enterprise - we hope and envision by the grace of God that community connectedness and individual empowerment in Christ will result in community enterprise that will lift it out of a hopeless place of generational poverty. This is happening at the WELL (Water of Evangelistic Life Love).

The first word of the organization, WELL, is an acronym for the foundation on which God has built this work. Literally a well, this work began around the dire need for a fresh-water well to be completed on the grounds of Pastor Kisa's orphanage. Only one week away from being forcibly refilled after the project had sat partially dug due to lack of funding, the well was birthed when the Lord made a way for funds to be obtained. This birthing of the well also birthed a new way for the former coordinators of SAC to jump back into the Uganda relief project--in the context of what the Lord was setting up anew through Pastor Kisa.  It became clear that the temporary work of SAC (Save An African Child), which has now closed down, was a bridge God used to lead us to Pastor Kisa and Believers' World Church.  Now, full emphasis is being given to the Zion Children's Haven orphanage and the WoH ministry.  We pray that God will generously fund WoH so that it can bring assistance to many other orphanages and churches around to make a way for long-term prosperity.

Nothing God does is accidental. It is no surprise that this work sprung up around a literal well, since our Lord is a God of parables! He is the Living Water by which the whole community will drink! They will drink of this water, but they will also see the glory of Jesus in the love of Pastor Kisa and his helpers. The acronym WELL stands for Water of Evangelistic Life Love. The living water of Jesus goes forth as evangelism of the gospel of Jesus takes place. That is enabled when we love people in life circumstances. It is a living evangelism, and it is powerful! This is the evangelism Jesus Himself did--the combination of meeting real life needs with speaking to real heart needs. All glory to God!
